GOA filmfest to screen Iran movie ‘Gesture’

Iranian movie ‘Gesture’ is slated to be screened at the 2021 edition of the GOA International Film Festival in India.

Pouya Parsamagham’s directorial debut will represent Iran at the 51st edition of the festival.

French film company wide Management is responsible for the international distribution of the film.

‘Gesture’ narrates the story of a family who faces challenges after the father of the family hides the recurrence of his son’s disease.

Ali Mosaffa, Nazanin Farahani, Mahmoud Haqiqi, Rastin Ghafouri and Razieh Mansouri star in the film.

Launched in 1952, the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia.

The festival aims at providing a common platform for the cinemas of the world to project the excellence of the film art; contributing to the understanding and appreciation of film cultures of different nations in the context of their social and cultural ethos; and promoting friendship and cooperation among people of the world.

The 51st edition of the event is slated for January 16-24, 2021.
